Whois Lookup

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 8, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how the Whois Lookup website handles information when you use the free domain lookup tool.

Information You Provide

When you enter a domain name, the tool uses that domain to request public RDAP registration data. Do not enter personal information, email addresses, passwords, authentication tokens, or confidential business data into the lookup field.

Local Storage

The site stores your five most recent domain lookups in your browser's local storage so you can rerun recent checks. This data stays on your device unless you clear browser storage. We do not require an account for the core tool.

Third-Party Requests

The tool may request public RDAP data from rdap.org and may load NewDomainData article or dataset links. When you click an external link, the destination website may process your request under its own privacy policy.

Analytics and Conversion Events

The site dispatches a browser event named newdomaindata_cta_click when a user clicks a NewDomainData call to action. This event is designed for aggregate product analytics and does not require login data from the user.

Cookies

The core Whois Lookup tool does not require cookies to run. Hosting providers, analytics tools, or linked third-party websites may use cookies according to their own notices and settings.

European and California Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data. Because this tool is designed to run without accounts, most lookup history remains in your own browser and can be deleted locally.

Security

We validate domain input before lookups and avoid displaying raw RDAP payloads to reduce unnecessary data exposure. No web tool can guarantee that public registry data is complete, current, or free from registry-side omissions.

Contact

For privacy questions, contact the site operator through the contact channel listed by the deployed website owner.
